Last Wednesday we really enjoyed Europe at its best at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. We looked at crucial topics in Europe through the lens of arts and culture. It was a beautiful mosaic of workshops, musical performances, panel discussions, film screenings etc happening on 5 floors in 6 halls.
During the “Young and Animated” session of the Short Film Program we watched inspiring animations from Estonia and Lithuania and engaged in discussion with the filmmakers Sander Joon and Aurealia Aasa from Estonia. Moderator Anna Eijsbouts (award winning Dutch animation director and animator) took us on a journey of the current state of play in the animation industry in Europe.
Europe´s Finest Hours was one of the flagships projects of the EUNIC NL network this year with an impressive network of partners: European Commission, City of Amsterdam, European Cultural Foundation, Creative Europe Desk NL, Culture Action Europe, Kunsten ´92 and of course Pakhuis de Zwijger.
