Ambassador Teesalu participated in the flag-raising ceremony with the Hague´s Deputy Mayor for Europe, Robert van Asten, organized by the City of Hague on May 9 to honour the Europe Day.
Europe Day is a day when we reflect on the historic Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundation for today’s European Union. It is a great opportunity to actively celebrate democracy and peace; values which are at the core of the European Union. Estonia has been a member of the European Union for 21 years by now and the importance of standing united continues to be as important as ever.
