Estonia as the Focus Country of Huntenkunst 2022

The Huntenkunst festival of 2022 is comprised of two parts: an international art fair held from May 20-22 and an exhibition focusing on Estonian authors, which will run until June 20.

On May 20, the international art fair was opened by Ambassador Lauri Kuusing, and the Estonian folkdance group Tuuletütred gave a lively dance performance. The guests were also able to taste Estonia by drinking the mildly pleasant Rabarbra (rhubarb) sparkling wine.

Estonia was the focus country of this year´s festival with nine artists participating in painting, graphics and photography. Estonia was represented at Huntenkunst by Jaan Elken, Ulvi Haagensen, Annika Haas, Andres Koort, Maxim Mjödov, Maarit Murka, Brenda Purtsak, Sven Saag and Katrin Valdre.

Huntenkunst is an art manifestation that has been taking place since 1993 in the industrial park complex in Ulft, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. This year 250 authors from 30 countries were selected to take part by an international commission, representing all forms of contemporary visual art.
