On May 21-22, 2019 one of the biggest food and beverage trade shows “World of Private Label” took place in Amsterdam. The Estonian Food Industry Association organized a joint Estonian stand at the fair with 12 Estonian food producers participating. The following companies took part – Balsnack International Holding, Salvest, Balbiino, Farmi Piimatööstus, Valio Eesti, Saaremaa Piimatööstus, Eesti Pagar, Scanola Baltic, Puljong (Food Studio), Rõngu Mahl, Eesti Leivatööstus and Smackers.
The trade show was visited by the Deputy Head of the Estonian Embassy in The Hague, Mare Tropp and Press Attaché Eve Reincke. „It was a pleasure to see the high level of professionalism exhibited by the Estonian Food Industry Association and the companies while introducing their products and Estonia in general. This is the result of huge work really. We are certainly glad that the trade show in Amsterdam is the place to be for the Estonian food producers in order to meet their partners and find new customers. Estonian support for the food association to participate in the fair is hereby of key importance,“ the Deputy Head said.
Although the focus of the fair is international, there were plenty of opportunities to talk to entrepreneurs about their specific interests in the Dutch market and possible joint activities. „As the food sector is well-developed and competition high, we can assume that products with innovative and novel features will have an advantage while competing for customer attention,“ the Press Attaché concluded.
